My name is Rikki, a Belgian guide based in Berlin.
From a young age, I have been drawn to the stories behind history, not just what happened, but how it felt to live through it. This curiosity led me to study History in Antwerp, and I began working as a guide for Doggy Bag Tours GmbH in 2022. I aim to make history vivid, human, and engaging, whether we are standing at a major landmark or a quiet corner most people would otherwise pass by.
Berlin is the perfect place for this; a city where the past is not confined to books, but woven into streets, buildings, and everyday life.
My expertise lies in the 20th century, a time that shaped Berlin in profound and often dramatic ways. What fascinates me most are the social and communal reactions to these events, how people adapted, resisted, believed, or simply tried to survive. On my tours, I explore these perspectives and invite guests to reflect.
Alongside my work as a guide, I am the COO of Doggy Bag Tours, where I help create memorable experiences, private itineraries and themed-based tours for visitors of Berlin.

Hello! I’m Megan, and what brought me to Berlin is theatre! I first came here in May 2023 to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch by Sven Ratzke, and I fell in love with the city instantly. At the same time, I immediately noticed that it is also a complex city, one I was eager to explore more deeply.
So I came back. August 2023, October 2023, April 2024, October 2024… And before I knew it, my entire life was packed into a moving van on its way to Berlin. On January 4th, I officially moved here.
I felt at home right away. Almost immediately, I started working at Doggy Bag Tours. Despite having no prior experience, I was welcomed with open arms and received excellent training to become a guide. By now, I lead all the tours the company offers by bike, and I continue to deepen my knowledge of the history of this beautiful city.
I love to keep developing myself and learning new things.
Curious about my stories? I look forward to guiding you through the city I fell in love with over three years ago, and still love just as much today!
Hey! I’m Miguel from Nijmegen, and I’ve been working as a guide for Doggy Bag Tours for several years now. Five years ago, after an internship in journalism, I decided to move to Berlin. I had always found it to be an incredibly impressive city. The mystique, the free-spirited culture, the relaxed open vibe, the music, the history, all of it contributes to my love for this city.
After working for a Dutch press agency for a while, I found Doggy Bag Tours, a small organization offering tours in Berlin. I applied as a guide, and we clicked immediately. Before I knew it, I was leading my own tours. After years of experience, I now also help take care of the team and make sure that new guides hit the road with the same spirit. So in a way, I simply have the best job there is: telling stories about the city I love, under the wonderful Berlin sun, with the most fun audience you could wish for.
About me:
I was born just before the turn of the century in Nijmegen, a city I still love dearly. To me, it’s actually a bit like Berlin, but on the river Waal. In the Netherlands, I worked for years as a radio and television presenter for various broadcasters. I hosted programs on a wide range of topics: Nijmegen’s culture and history, conspiracy theories, and I even presented a radio show on NPO 3FM KX about house and techno. Of course, I bring all of this experience into my tours. I’m fascinated by everything related to identity and culture, and that’s exactly what makes Berlin so unique to me. It’s a city with a raw history that has continually reinvented its identity over the years. A place where you can sometimes forget the rush of everyday life, because people here know what it really means to enjoy life. Like I said: a bit like Nijmegen, but not on the Waal.
